Carry Weight
In a world shrouded in darkness, carrying too much isn't just about encumbrance, it's an invitation to disaster. Every piece of gear, every cursed artifact, is another burden a Hunter must shoulder. Each Hunter has a maximum carry weight, determined by their Strength attribute. Each point of Strength allows them to carry seven pounds without issue.
Max weight = Strength x 7
Overloading your Hunter is possible but comes at a cost. For every ten pounds over their maximum carry weight, a Hunter gains a point of fatigue, reflecting the strain of lugging around too much stuff. However, there are limits to this as well. A Hunter cannot exceed 50% over their maximum carry weight, regardless of how much fatigue they're willing to endure. At some point, the sheer bulk and weight of the items become too much to manage.
Overseer: "David, as you pick up the ancient golden idol, etched with blasphemous sigils, you feel its surprising weight. It's a hefty 30 pounds."
David: "That's a bit over my carry weight, but it's too valuable to leave behind. I'll just have to deal with the fatigue."
Amy: "David, remember what happened last time you carried too much? You were so worn out you tripped over your own feet and alerted that vampire we were trying to sneak past."
David: "Ah, yes. Good times. But this time will be different, I swear. Besides, who needs stealth when you've got a solid gold idol to throw at the enemy?"
Remember, finding this balance between preparedness and agility is key to survival. Too much gear and you're a target – too little, and you might be facing a Horror empty-handed.
